Paris, France {Part 2}

Day 11 - 09.14.13
Just as the day before, it was raining in Paris. We started with Musée d'Orsay, it's full of impressionism (Monet and Van Gogh). Being new to art in general, I'm not a big fan of modern art. David was in his element though. We left Orsay and crossed a bridge that is the second lock bridge, it seems the first may be full already. We walked through a garden that had a clear view of the Arc de Triomphe and started our way to it along the Champs-Elysées. Did a little bit of shopping. It took a second to figure out how to get to the Arc because you can't cross the extremely busy street. Instead, you have to go through the tunnel underneath. The parents stayed below because it was too tiring to climb up, but David and I took on the 274 steps to the top. There were more foggy views of Paris, but it was still so lovely, and a different view than Notre Dam. I loved all the streets coming away from the Arc, like a star. After a quick game of I Spy, we made our way down to the shivering grown ups.

Afterwards, we took a metro to explore Montmartre and stumbled upon a cute restaurant. I was able to practice a little bit of French and ordered as well as asked for the bill. It wasn't much, but I felt accomplished. When going to the Basilica of Sacré Croeur, we happened upon a service of some kind. It seemed like a graduation for monks. Of course we didn't understand anything, but it was still fascinating to watch. We ended the night with a chocolate shop, where we bought some macaroons. There was also a sculpture of the Notre Dame made entirely out of chocolate.

Canadian Adventures

Birthday celebrations continued.
In September, with school just around the corner, my sweet friends Julie & Sue decided to do a last minute surprise trip for me. We packed up my car and headed north on I-5 at 9 pm. I guessed we were going to Canada, but they only informed me when we reached Seattle. We continued driving through the night, blasting music to keep us awake. After an intimidating border check, we were finally in Canada at 3 am. We spent a day wandering Vancouver, British Columbia, and the next day exploring Victoria Island. It was such a fun trip, and I have to say thank you to those sweet girls for planning it. It was a wonderful weekend that I'll always remember.

 {VANCOUVER}

This was the logo for the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver.

My sweet Julz. Her feet began to hurt, so we traded shoes. I didn't mind, they still matched my outfit.

We watched the stunning sunset at Canada Place, a popular spot to hang out in downtown Vancouver.

{VICTORIA ISLAND}

On the ferry ride we go...

We got all the maps and brochures and set off to explore. (They came in very handy)

How could we not do a little posing?

Love these girls with all my heart.

Can't wait to see you again Canada.

Florida {Summer Adventures}

I started off my summer in Florida with my best friend visiting her sister. The week I spent there was wonderful. Tasha made sure to keep us entertained. We did some shopping in the huge mall, went paddleboating, & celebrated Inna's birthday by going to Disney World (where else?). The rain has started back up again in Oregon. So let's just say I'm missing the Florida sunshine. Here's some pictures from a day we spent strolling the streets:
(dress: Urban Outfitters, purse: PourLaVictoire, headband: American Apparel, ring: Claires, bracelet: forgot, sunglasses: borrowed)

I'll continue posting pictures from my {summer adventures} including a birthday photoshoot my sister & I did. So stay tuned

There will be many pictures to come! I'll be going to Six Flags and the Santa Monica Pier (suuppeerr excited)! I don't think I'll be able to post while I'm away. So I leave you with this outfit post. This shirt, seriously one of my favorites! I wear it all the time, I need to stop because dry cleaning is expensive! Haha (: It's a lot of pictures, but hey I like pictures, so... there ya have it. Enjoy the summer season! Have an incredible week & weekend my followers & readers. Love you all!!
