Update

I'm back, and it feels so good to be home. Oh, there is so much to write about concerning the last month of travel and adventures, but for now: Happy Friday. The first week of autumn here in Portland actually feels like autumn! The weather, for once, makes sense. I'm still doing laundry and am totally sick of wearing the same clothes for 4 weeks. So, I broke out the Nordstrom pants I got a couple months back and these new, funky (for me) shoes from Urban Outfitters (Dolce Vita brand). Even though I'm a summer gal, I feel like autumn is so much more of a fashion season. Fashion week, the layers, the colors, the accessories. People tend to whip out their best looks from their closets.

It's been a week since returning to the states, and I haven't even looked at my pictures from Europe. I have somewhere around 5,000 to go through. So bare with me, I'll get around to it. I still have last year's Paris to finish up. And school starts Monday. It's my last term at Clack. Comm. College, before I transfer to University of Portland in Jan. It will be bitter sweet, but I'm so excited for this year. I'm totally ready for anything life throws at me or where I end up.

One more thing... I'm obsessed. Just a little bit (no, a lot actually) with this girl's voice. I've been listening to her album for 4 days straight now. Doesn't everyone do that with new music? I'll probably get sick of it soon, especially since I'm sure she's going to be big on the radio any day now (if not already, I haven't actually listened to radio in 2 months). Anywho, if you're into "crafty, sultry, moody R&B" (as classified by Spotify), then take a listen.

My favorites:
Change
Brain

(but really, all her songs are good)

There's an update on life. Enjoy the weekend, I know I will.

Sunny Days Ahead

While on spring break in Seattle..
I was on a run to the grocery store with friends and we stopped by Grand Central Bakery. I was like ooo, a colored wall! I grabbed my camera and handed it to my friend to snap some pictures. Very random. Very casual.
 My go-to look: high waisted pants & a crop top. I've overworn these black BDG pants from UO. They are my absolute favorite pair of pants that I've ever owned. They make me look & feel great & they go with everything.

I'm back home already, and the weather cannot be more perfect here in Oregon. It's going to be 74 degrees today! What? It still surprised me when I saw the sunlight peeking through my window this morning. Even though I'm more than ready to put away the winter sweaters for good, I'm still afraid to commit to warm weather clothes. But my pedicured toes are ready for sandals, so bring it on. Rain or shine. More like rain rather than shine. Oh well.

Time to soak up the sun today.
Hope everyone's week went well.
Happy Saturday

Double Denim

{shirt: urban outfitters; jeans: urban outfitters; bag: urban outfitters; boots: steve madden}

I was just spending the afternoon drinking tea and watching haircuts when another colored wall was found... I went for the double denim look and broke out my new boots. I felt just at home on Hawthorne St., where everyone seems to be sporting "hipster" style. Practically my whole outfit is from Urban Outfitters; no surprise there. It's my favorite store, and the only place that has perfect-fitting highwaisted pants.

I'll be spending my spring break in Seattle this week, and it couldn't have been a more perfect time. The weather is in the 60s with sunshine & NO rain. Crazy Pacific Northwest, but I'm lovin' it.

For those of you who aren't relaxing this week, Im sorry.
Happy Monday anyways.

{A Yellow-Striped Summer}

This was the same day my previous post. My mom picked out this dress while shopping at Urbans. She said she wore this style back in Ukraine when she was about my age. I'm really lovin' the length, even though it does make me look a bit short. I tried the knot just for fun, to see how it would look. Its a 80 degree day here in Oregon, but the rest of the week looks pretty sad: rainy & cloudy. Oh well! Can't wait to leave to Shasta Lake, CA for Fourth of July! Maybe it's time to start on summer homework this week?? Hmm..nahh. I'll do that later (;
Anyways, happy Monday, enjoy the week my lovelies!

It's Feelin' Like An Artsy Day

Off to the Portland Art Museum I go!
I spent my Saturday afternoon wandering the museum looking for some photographs (had to do with a photograpy project I was working on).
It's an interesting place.
A good experience.
Let's just say, one times enough. (:

  • lace shirt: Love On A Hanger (Nordstrom Rack)
  • blazer: Necessary Objects (Nordstrom Rack)
  • shorts: Joit (Nordstrom Rack)
  • tights: unknown (Nordstrom Rack)
  • Handbag: Marc Jacobs (Nordstrom)
  • checkered scarf: unknown (unknown)
  • Ring: Lucky Brand (Nordstrom Rack)
  • oxford shoes: Deena & Ozzy (Urban Outfitters)
It's not a coincidence that almost everything I own is from Nordstrom Rack; it's my mama's favorite store to shop (:
