Beach&Volleyball

These were taken this summer, and I totally forgot to post about this! It was such a fun day at the Seaside Volleyball Tournament. I expected it to be cold, but it turned out to be really hot and I even got burned. Anyways, there's just a little glimpse of this past amazing summer. Can't wait till June! Happy Thursday lovelies.

Sunriver!

  • went to Sunriver (Bend, Oregon) this weekend
  • here are some snapshots of our adventure
  • my arm is in a sling because I sprained my wrist snowboarding (for those of you wondering)
  • enjoy!

on the way there (4-hour drive)
the Three Sisters

for the image above: i created that blur effect on the river, by using a low shutter speed.
i guess i do learn something in photography class.

Let's Jump In The Sun!

Everyone should take one great jumping photo with the sun. Here's some inspiration:

Jump Shots

Photography Class
My Assignment:
  • Take a number a photographs using certain shutter speeds (fast, medium, slow)
  • Human subject must be jumping
  • Catch hangtime (the time when subject is all the way up, and not yet coming down)
  • Here are the best shots (some are supposed to be blurry)

Shutter speed: 1/15

Shutter speed: 1/60

Shutter speed: 1/250

Shutter speed: 1/500

Shutter speed: 1/500

  • As you can tell, the slower the shutter speed (smaller number) the more blurry the photo will be.
  • & the faster the shutter speed (bigger number) the more clear the photo will be.
  • That's why the 1/500 photographs are much more clear than the 1/15 photos.
  • I hope I get an A!
  • Thank you, Inna, for being a terrific model (:
